We are excited that you have chosen Asheville Children’s Medical Center for all of your child’s health care needs!
On your first visit, please arrive 15 minutes early. You will be greeted by our friendly front desk associates who will make you feel comfortable as they begin the registration process. You will be asked to fill out any necessary forms, provide your insurance card and pay any copay amounts as part of checking in.
You and your child will be greeted shortly by one of our outstanding nurses. They will ask you and your child a series of questions, obtain vital signs and any pertinent information. They will also perform any screenings necessary. They will provide you with written information on any vaccines due during your visit and then escort you and your child to one of our kid friendly exam rooms.
The doctor will be notified of your arrival and will be in to visit you and your child. The length of the visit is dependent upon the reason for your child’s visit. Well Care visits are more in depth and tend to be lengthier appointments than sick visits.
Asheville Children’s Medical Center uses Electronic Medical Records; this expedites the process of producing school notes for your child as well as being able to send any prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of your choosing.
